From around Christmastime until early March, we had succeeded in getting Timmy to sleep without a pacifier. We were so successful in this, in fact, that we considered removing the pacifiers from the house altogether.
In early March, Timmy got a stomach bug and puked every time he got the slightest bit upset. So we brought back the pacifier to prevent accidents in the restaurant, store, car and crib. Since then, he's had his pacifier to get to sleep.
Today for his first nap, I put Timmy down to sleep without his pacifier. He cried for a little while, but eventually he stopped. I applauded myself for finally re-weaning him from the pacifier and thought I'd go take a picture of it. This is the picture posted today. As you can see, he clearly has a pacifier in his mouth, albeit upside-down.
This pacifier was in the corner of the crib above and to the left of him in this picture. Timmy must've grabbed it and put it in his mouth himself. So much for keeping the pacifiers in a convenient place.
Timmy was in a good mood this morning, despite the Tigers' abysmal record.
