Well, our Sunday morning started out with a bit more excitement than was necessary. Near the end of Mass, the elderly gentleman sitting in the pew in front of Tim and I had a heart attack. Fortunately, he seemed to be alright by the time the paramedics got there at the end of mass. Nonetheless, there's a certain morbid poeticness to holding a sleeping baby while watching an individual possibly on the brink.
Please don't think I was being callous just standing there- initially it looked like the man wanted to go to the back of the church to lie down and wait for the ambulance- so I passed Timmy off to my pew neighbor (A very nice old man who sits next to us every week and who, with his wife, attended Timmy's baptism) and moved to help the guy. Unfortunately, not being a German speaker, I was as useful as a third asshole, but at least I offered.
Timmy, if you're wondering, weathered the storm like a champ, just snoozing away like he was in his crib.
Today, we're probably going to pick up Savannah's e-bay wardrobe doors from Bad Kissingen. After that, it's pretty much an open day.
