(5:54 a.m.) It's only 5:54 a.m. and already today is starting out better than yesterday. No wakeups last night, and Timmy is still sleeping soundly. He'll probably change that in five minutes or so, but at least he slept through the night!
(6:34 a.m) Timmy does not disappoint. 6:00 on the nose- church bells ringing- timmy flipped on his belly and started crying. We've had a pretty productive morning, though, for only a half hour so far.

A few notes on the first picture: It looks far more impressive than it really is. Daddy took a great risk by attempting to get the photo. You see, Timmy's running average for the length of time he can support himself standing against the couch is something on the order of 20 seconds. It takes daddy just about that long to scoot away from the boy, aim the camera and take a picture. As a matter of fact, mere moments after the flash went off, Timmy took a tear-inducing spill onto the hardwood floor.
Now for the second picture: This was Timmy's

finest furniture-supported moment so far- He had stood for over two minutes like this, adjusting his feet and hands and even inching to the right a little bit. Not bad, seeing as we just started the furniture-supported standing a couple days ago. Just a few moments
before this picture was taken, Timmy actually recovered himself from almost falling laterally (hence the spread legs). The fact that he
didn't hit the ground, I think, legitimately scared the bejeezus out of him and he started crying anyway. The face in the picture is the delicate balance between the aforementioned crying and the smile Timmy usually produces for the camera.

(7:29 a.m.) A third picture today! Just as much as the last two were less impressive than they looked, this one doesn't look nearly as impressive as it is! Although he still isn't crawling forward, Timmy gets on his hands and knees quite easily nowadays. Today, though, was the first time he (apparently) attempted to get into a sitting position from his hands and knees. The picture doesn't show it well because Daddy was slow on the draw, but Timmy was very,
very, VERY close to the sitting position. It's actually more impressive that he managed to
avoid sitting, considering how close his posterior was to the floor. Not long after this photo, though, Timmy rolled onto his back- he had had enough tummy time for one session.
