Here are all the pictures I've got from the cottages in Bellaire. A quick rundown of the people in them: The dark-haired lady holding Timmy and also appearing in a couple other pictures is our cousin Laura. The blonde-haired lady without sunglasses is our cousin Patty. The blonde-haired lady with sunglasses (and two other children) is Aunt Beth. The two other children are Ella and Katie, Timmy's cousins and the blonde-haired boy is Jimmy, another cousin and Patty's son. Oh, and the guy with the green jacket is Daddy. The high frequency of Daddy in the pictures wasn't intentional- Aunt Kelly took the pictures and all the ones she took with Timmy in them got posted.
This was a relatively rough week for Timmy. His molars are starting to poke through, which means he's had an intermittant fever, diarrhea and irritability. It also means that Daddy and everyone else sharing a cottage with us had a wicked bout of insomnia this week.
Timmy took his first trip on a boat and then into the water this week- that's the picture of him in his life jacket. He took to it relatively well. It wasn't his favorite thing to do, but he did manage to squeak out a smile here and there, especially when looking at all his family members that were out there with us. Aunt Beth watched Timmy while Daddy went tubing and by the end of our 3-hour boat and swimming trip, he was ready to sleep.
The first night there was the worst for Timmy's teeth. He didn't get to sleep until around 10:00 and woke up for a 2-hour cryfest at 2:30. The last night wasn't too much better, but this time it was cousin Katie who was playing the role of alarm clock. Daddy ended up taking Timmy out to the campfire for a while around midnight- Timmy's first campfire.
For the weekend, Timmy is spending some time with Grandma Hall and Aunt Sami, who will be taking him to a family reunion Matzenbach-style Saturday. Daddy will be at the baseball game tonight and helping Grandpa Gossiaux out at the house tomorrow.
