Sorry I missed a couple of days. I have a huge laundry list of difficult, time-consuming things to take care of before Mommy heads to the big sandbox and the last two days, being days off, found us in the park and enjoying the free time (i.e., not typing away at the computer).
Yesterday ended Daylight Savings Time for us here in Germany- a week sooner than in the states. This is the first time it caught Daddy by surprise and we almost headed to church an hour early. As it turns out, there wasn't mass yesterday any way (they usually don't do one on the day DST ends). The time change has been creating havoc with Timmy's sleeping pattern, though. This morning, he was up at 5:30 with no intention of going back to sleep. If this sort of thing continues, by the time he gets to 1st grade, he'll be waking up before he gets to bed.
Timmy's walking improves more every day. He's slowly starting to get his arms into it (as you can see from the picture). The biggest trouble is he still doesn't know how to get to standing from sitting without holding on to something. I'm sure he'll get there eventually.
We're still trying to work on the communication skills. I get 'ma ma ma ma' whenever he wants something, and 'ya ya ya ya' when he doesn't get it. On rare occasions, I get something that sounds like a hybrid between 'ga ga ga' and 'da da da' when he's crawling or walking around happily.
I don't predict a happy week this week- there is lots to do and the time to get it done in is running very short.
