I haven't had a headache in a few days, so I thought I'd try to teach Timmy how to self-feed with a spoon again. He did remarkably well in the beginning. So long as he holds on to the spoon, Daddy can guide his hand (and spoon) into the cereal bowl to pick up some cereal, and as soon as he sees the cereal on the end of the spoon, he'll guide it to his mouth on his own. Unfortunately, this only lasts a few iterations before he gets frustrated and impatient. It was a chore to keep his other hand out of the cereal bowl at the same time.
Last night Timmy slept well- he woke up once, but got back to sleep rather quickly. This morning he woke up when Mommy left for work, but again went back to sleep after Daddy replaced his pacifier. This morning will be pretty quiet- probably a walk and maybe a trip to the park, with some playing in the house. This afternoon, Mommy will be coming home for lunch, then we get to take Greta back to the vet to get her stitches removed. And pay the vet bill.
It's a 4-day weekend for Mommy starting tomorrow, and that's followed by 2 days of what they call "Organizational Day"- essentially a work party- which in turn is followed by a 3-day weekend. So tomorrow basically starts 9 days of relaxation. The 15th is Manfred's retirement/work anniversary/wedding anniversary/birthday party, so we're looking forward to that, too. And, hopefully, the truck will be repaired by the end of next week!
