Caught fork-handed! Today for lunch, I mixed up some leftover turkey and green bean casserole for Timmy and set it down in front of him with a child fork and spoon. I walked away to grab something or another and came back to find Timmy eating like he knew what he was doing all along! I have been trying for weeks to teach Timmy how to eat properly with a spoon to no avail, but the first time he touches a fork- voila! Now, it remains to be seen whether this is a good habit that is going to perpetuate, or if Timmy was just curious at the novelty of a fork.
