Timmy played "water boy" today. I saw him drag an empty pitcher out of the cabinet and thought we'd try to water the plants. I put some water in it then gave it back to Timmy, urging him to walk with me to the potted plants. Instead, he tried to drink out of the pitcher. Thinking quickly, I got him a big blue plastic cup instead and put a little water in it. At first, he just chewed on the lip of the cup, but after Daddy showed him how to drink, he started doing it himself. Of course, he got water more down the front of his shirt than in his mouth, but he had a blast. Daddy and Timmy took turns drinking out of the cup and it seemed like Timmy got more a kick out of watching Daddy drink than himself. He'd stand there, giggle and start to shake when Daddy took a drink. I figure either Daddy has a funny way of drinking or Timmy spit in the cup when it was his turn.
