This morning was Timmy's well-baby appointment. He's had a cough and sore throat since yesterday and it woke him up a couple of times thoughout the night. The doctor was also giving Timmy a check-up on his ear infection diagnosis from a couple of weeks ago. It turns out Timmy's ear infection is still there, so the doc prescribed a different antibiotic and told us to come back in 10 days.

As for the well-baby part, Timmy's a pretty average kid physically. His weight is in the 25th percentile- due, I'm sure, to his being sick the last couple of weeks. His height is in the 75th percentile (up a bit from his 12-month appointment) and his body has finally caught up with his head, the circumference of which is smack dab at the 50th percentile. (When Timmy was born, his head was in the 90th percentile for his age).

Timmy knows more words than the minimum, but doesn't quite run yet, something he may or may not be doing by this point. The doctor seemed to think he should be walking up stairs, as opposed to his semi-walk/crawl, but since Timmy isn't allowed to go up the stairs that often, this isn't very concerning. Other skills the doctor asked about was eating with a fork, drinking from a cup and stacking 3 blocks- all of which Timmy has done (or continues to do).

Currently, Timmy is crying in his crib because it's long past time for his nap. He took a very brief one this morning- about 45 minutes- but has been cranky ever since. He ate quite a bit for lunch, but just does not want to sleep. I'll give him another 15 minutes before bringing him downstairs.
