Well, Timmy has his first real 'ouchie'. Yesterday afternoon at the Katzenbergers' barbecue, Timmy was running around quite a bit. Throughout the day, we'd been keeping him away from the grill quite well, teaching him that it's hot and not to touch it. Near the end, though, he was running around the yard and strayed toward the grill. Although he wasn't purposely trying to touch it, he appeared to stumble for a second and tried to balance himself by putting his hand against something. Unfortunately for him, it was the grill.
So, last night was long- trying to keep Timmy calm until the pain went away, administering Tylenol and band-aids while keeping his mind occupied on Spongebob Squarepants. This morning he had a pretty impressive blister, but it doesn't look like it'll do any permanent damage. The only concern is the blister breaking and inviting infection, but so far so good. I don't think Timmy will go near any grills anytime soon.
