This is Timmy's new favorite toy. Yep, it's a real banana. He'll carry one of these around until it is so bruised up, it'd only be good for banana bread. And don't dare to peel it for him - he'll cry and cry because you just killed his banana friend! (...and that's Daddy's home made spaghetti sauce on his face.)
Momma and Timmy went for a ruck march this morning for PT (army physical training). He rides comfortably in a special hiking kids pack, while Momma breaks a sweat. We walked though some farmer's fields and looked at snails, slugs, corn, barley, horses, and bunnies. We finished it off with breakfast at the dining facility, where Timmy had sausage, eggs, grapes, and apple slices.
Timmy's first day at daycare seemed to go pretty well. He reportedly fell and bumped the back of his head at the playground. Once inside, he stopped crying about the bump and started crying about going back outside. No bruises. There was some concern that he might not go down for a nap on a mat (especially since Momma forgot to bring Bear or Moo), but he went to sleep with little fuss.
His burn blister finally popped, but it isn't giving him much trouble. Momma is still dressing it with bandaids and burn cream at night to help it heal.
