Ever since coming back from Italy, Timmy been having trouble re-starting his potty training. It wasn't until today (the 28th) that we've had much progress. Three accidents yesterday and no hits. Today, though, after seeing Timmy running around naked as a jaybird for no apparent reason, I walked into the bathroom to see his "Big boy pants" sitting next to the training toilet and a little bit of pee in the bowl. Now, I'm hoping it was Timmy's. It could have been the cat- she likes to use Timmy's training toilet, too. Either way, it's one less mess I have to clean up off the floor, but if it's Timmy, it's a good sign.
Timmy's mood has also been much improved since coming home. He's throwing fewer fits, but they do still come occassionally. His dialogue has changed a bit, too. Before, it was something like this, with respect to his beloved fascination of the current status of lights:
Timmy: "On? On? Light on?"
Daddy: "Yes, Timmy, that light is on"
Timmy: "Okay"
Now, conversations are a great deal more one-sided:
Timmy: "On? On? Yes, Timmy, Light On. Okay. On?"
Someday, I'm sure, he'll get over his obsession with pointing at every light he sees and identifying its status as either 'on' or 'off'. Just not anytime soon.
