The sirens went off in town and a tower of smoke rose from the center. Earlier today, we heard music coming from that direction. So either the band stand caught fire, or the fire department was putting on a demonstration. We went to investigate.
The Haard fire department had set a car on fire and were showing the audience how they put it out and pry off the doors to get people out. Momma thought it was interesting, but timmy was more interested in the slide at the nearby playground. Unfortunately, the slide was covered with roudy elementary-age kids. Too rough for Timmy. So we continuedup the hill to the firehouse.
Some beer trailers and a fest tent were set up in the middle of the street. Once inside, we found out that the tent was actually attached at one end to the main doors of the firehouse. We went inside and looked at the firefighter suits hanging from the walls. At the stand, we bought two bratwursts and sat down to enjoy some live brass band music.
Afterward, Momma and Timmy visited the Katzenburgers. Timmy had alot of fun running around thier backyard, chasing the cat, playing soccer, and tossing a frisbee. He even fell in the frog pond. Manfred invited us to the fest to hear him play. So we went back to the tent (which worked out nicely because Momma forgot the camera the first time).
This time we munched on pastries and tortes while we listeded to contemporary German songs and classic rock. Timmy danced and flirted with the older ladies. But his favorite part was a set of lights that flashed and changed color with the beat of the music. He was hypnotized.
It was a pretty busy day for the Timmers. So busy that he actually asked to go to bed - and then went to sleep without a peep!

Running around with no clothes may make Tim his mother's son, but this, "Timmy danced and flirted with the older ladies" makes Tim is his opa Cedar House's grandson.
