Well, Timmy's been having a lot of trouble this week getting to sleep at night- and then every night so far he's woken up around 11:00pm and wouldn't *really* go back to sleep until 4:00 am or so. To try to curb this trend, I took him playing outside today after daycare for an hour or so in the snow. We put on all his snow gear with the intention of building a snowman. Unfortunately, the snow wasn't adequate packing snow, so we took a hike to the nearby park instead and Timmy played on the ice-choked jungle gym. He had a lot of fun once he got outside (though he wasn't too happy about getting all his stuff on to go in the first place). When it was time to head home, however, Timmy threw a fit and, eventually, had to be carried back home (where he spent some time on timeout).
It was all worth it, though, as Timmy was asleep within 10 minutes of bedtime tonight as opposed to the hour+ it was taking the last couple of nights!

We found that a long warm bath, a belly full of ice cream, and a ride in Geepa's truck work very well getting Tim to sleep. And watching a really boring movie with Grandma. Foreign silent films get him to fall asleep the fastest. Me, too.
