A Valentine's picture is coming soon.

The last week and a half has been rather rough for Timmy. He's getting very clingy- so much so, in fact, that he won't walk from the couch to the dining room table without holding hands, or he breaks down in tears. Thinking this may be due to not getting enough time with Daddy, and adding to that his daycare's "Have Lunch with your Child" event yesterday for their Valentine's celebration, I opted to visit Timmy at daycare midday yesterday.
I was the only parent there, but that was fine. Timmy was excited to see his Daddy, but we were in the middle of "storytime", so we sat down and listened to the rest of the story together. The kids all had their lunch, and I saddled up in an 18" seat next to Timmy, eating ravioli too. Timmy seemed to get a kick out of it. After lunch, of course, it was naptime and time for Daddy to leave. This, I think, Timmy didn't expect- Daddy having to leave twice in the same day. Nothing would calm him down after he figured out Daddy was going- eventually the day care ladies had to hold him and try to distract him while Daddy skedaddled. I came back shortly, though- about an hour and a half later- and picked up Timmy for good (after his nap) and we went home and played the rest of the evening. He was in a much better mood, then.
Last night, though, was rough. Timmy was up around 1am and refused to go back to sleep. He wanted to lie in Daddy's bed, then his own bed, then go potty, then get some milk, then he had something in his eye, then his nose was bothering him, and on and on and on. Finally around 4:00 he got back to sleep.
Later in the morning, when Tim woke up, I looked at the clock- it looked like 8:45. I thought, "Well, after being up for 3 hours last night, I guess he would sleep in an extra hour and a half or so". Then I put on my glasses- 6:45. .. Oh.
Timmy's going to be cranky at daycare today.
