We're back in Missouri.

This morning started off normally. Timmy woke up cheery, but only wanted to lay on the couch watching PBS with a bowl of dry cereal. Mommy joined him on the couch with a cup of coffee and the rest of the box.

Timmy got in trouble this morning for peeing his pants. After that, he had a dry diaper the rest of the day. He gets a hershey kiss or a pair of gummy bears for a bribe. He has trouble going on the potty, but pees on the grass, sidewalk, and deck with relative ease. Now that the boy's house trained, it should be easier to get him potty trained.

This afternoon we heard sirens. Then wind wal blowing so hard in opposite directions that the trees infront of the house were laying on the ground in one direction, then would whip around to lay on the ground in another direction. So we went to the center of the house and waited for the storm to calm down. After it did, we heard alot of sirens throughout town. After that, the rest of the evening was filled with the sound of chainsaws. Apparently a confirmed tornado touched down three miles further along the storm's path.

The power went out during the worst of the storm and didn't come back on until after timmy's bedtime. Since we have an electric stove - and ate mostly cereal and bananas all day - we went to a fifties-style diner in the next town over for dinner. Timmy liked the jukebox and we colored until his chicken nuggets arrived.

When we got home, the house was like a cave, so we lit a couple of Mommy's scented candles for light. After a final tinkle in the yard, Timmy and Mommy read a bedtime story by candle light. Timmy blew out the candle to turn off the light.

I bet the weatherman wished he could have been there for that. Poor, Tim. He's going to hear about being housebroken before being potty trained for the rest of his life! ha ha ha
