So politically incorrect, but so very descriptive. Twice a year, the trash service in Haard has a bulk trash day. Therefore, twice a year, the streets of Haard are filled with large, white unmarked vans with Polish plates driving from pile to pile of bulk trash, picking through and finding treasures. Not that this is a bad thing- as a matter of fact, it's a very acceptable practice in Europe among all nationalities. It just so happens that in this particular part of Europe and Germany in particular, the only "collectors" are the Polish.
