I am running into a difficult problem. Timmy, though often tired, does not want to sleep in his crib (0r anywhere else, for that matter). This morning, he woke up at 4:30 when Mommy left for work. Usually when he wakes up this early, he goes back to sleep quickly. This morning, not so much. I brought Timmy downstairs for an early breakfast (rice krispies with prune juice and pineapples- lots of soluble fiber) and to play for a little bit. At around 6:00, I brought him back upstairs to sleep in the crib but he wouldn't go down. It wasn't until 6:30 that he got any more sleep, and even then, he only napped for a half-hour or so. From 7:00 until now (~8:20), we've been playing and walking and crawling and all that and during all the activity, Timmy would often rest his head on my shoulder, the ground, the couch- whatever he could- generally a big sign he's tired.
I brought him up to his crib when he tried crawling the stairs (more on this later), and he wasn't too happy about it. Over the course of writing this entry, though, it sounds like he may have fallen asleep. We'll see how long this lasts.
Timmy has recently been trying any way he can to get to the stairs. He's actually very proficient at crawling up them, but I don't particularly want him to ever try it- at least, not until he's a few years older. So, I've decided every time he crawls to the stairs and gets up the first couple steps, I'll pick him up and bring him up to his crib. I'm hoping that he gets the idea that upstairs=bedtime and steers clear of the stairs soon.
Pictures will be late in coming this week. Mommy had to pack her personal stuff for her deployment, which included the camera and laptop. I'm stuck using an older camera that I don't have a computer cable for. I'll go get one sometime this week, but until then, no pictures.
