Timmy occasionally gets "giggle moments"- times when he finds something so funny he can't help but giggle over and over again. When he was really young, there were some of his toys that would do this for him. Over the summer, it was Grandma Hall's big yellow inflatible ball. Last week it was a fuzzy bunny rabbit that vibrated when you pulled the string. Today, it was leaves.
Timmy and Daddy went for a walk down the sidewalk today, Timmy walking while holding on to one of Daddy's hands. As we walked, Daddy inadvertantly kicked a few leaves ahead of us and Timmy started to giggle. The whole walk back, Timmy was giggling at leaves moving in our path- it didn't matter if it was just one leaf or a whole bunch of them.
I think I've got Timmy's sleeping problem figured out. So long as I go in there to let him know I'm around when he wakes up crying, I can put him back in his crib and he'll drift back off to sleep after a minute or two of fussing. It's only when he doesn't see Mommy or Daddy that he gets particularly upset. This morning he slept until 7:30, then he took an hour nap from 9 until 10.
