This actually started yesterday evening, after hours of tears and frustration. Timmy has said, "cookie". I think. At least, that's what it kind of sounds like, and he seems to associate the word with graham crackers. Unfortunately, neither Timmy's hard O-s or hard E-s are developed yet, so it sounds like "Chhk-chhk-chhk..", as if he's clearing a hairball out of his throat.
This morning, I had decided (before Timmy woke up) that I'd reinforce the word by giving Timmy a cracker whenever he said 'Chhk-chhk". I figured I'd work on the problem of keeping him from eating too much later. Since Timmy's been awake this morning, however, it's been nearly constant, "Chhk-chhk-chhk" for the last hour. He's gone through three graham crackers and I think we're done with them for the morning.
Timmy's other newest "trick" is the second picture, though it also started last night. His dare-devil act ended just about how you'd expect- on his head. On the plus side, he doesn't stand up in his rocking chair anymore.
Today we'll go for a couple walks and I'll try to refine Timmy's 'cookie'. I've also been trying to teach him 'Kitty' when Greta walks by (which, now that I think about it, may very well be what he's saying, instead of cookie).

Cute pictures!! :)
Like I said the other day.. just keep at it.. eventually he will understand that you want him to point... My friend went through the same thing as you are going through and her daughter (2 weeks older then Katie) is still at times throwing fits when she wants something that she can't figure out how to say...
