Timmy has been a constant grouch today since waking up. He had to have a nap at 9:00- a little over two hours after waking up- because of this. I don't know if it's more teeth coming in or something else.
Still no crawling progress. Nor is he making any progress in talking. Most of the baby books say he should be crawling well by this point. He does seem to be ahead of the curve when it comes to fine motor skills, though. He has been picking up toys one- and two- at a time for a couple months now, and he's a puffs pro now. Also, he has no problem feeding himself from a bottle or sippy cup.
I think he is just too interested in walking to bother with crawling. There are only 2 things that, when taken away, will make Timmy cry. The first is a spoon, if he's gnawing on it. The second is walking. When walking the boy around the house, he'll scream bloody murder if you pick him up. Which makes things difficult, as he can't very well be walking the entire day. (Not that he couldn't physically do it, but I'm thinking more of Daddy's back).
I can't for the life of me figure out why he doesn't want to talk. We spend a lot of time each day looking at things, pointing at them, and saying what they are. He hears "da da da" and "ma ma ma" over and over again. We read at least twice a day, sometimes much more than that. We see the doctor in early May for Timmy's checkup- I'll probably bring it up then.
