7:56 a.m.: Day three and still we haven't gone an enitre 24 hours without the pacifier. Last night, Timmy wouldn't go down to bed without it (see yesterday's post). He also woke up around 3:30 a.m. and wouldn't go back down without a bottle. This left me in a pickle this morning, as he woke up (for good) at 5:45 and it had been less than 2 hours since his last bottle. I couldn't very well give him another one, so I waited about a half-hour and gave him breakfast instead. He didn't eat any more or less than usual, but the acid reflux is still bad. Some Robin Hood, crawling and standing practice, and a storybook later, and Timmy was ready for a nap. I just put him down a few minutes ago and he's still crying.
8:06 a.m.: The crying has grown intermittant again. I'll check on him in 2 minutes.

8:10 a.m.: Very much like yesterday- about 10 minutes of crying before sleep. Why can't bedtime be like this? The picture here is from about 2 minutes ago. I promise I'll post another picture today that isn't of Timmy sleeping.

10:16 a.m.: Timmy slept for pretty much an hour- he woke up at quarter past nine. Since then, we've just been playing and practicing walking. The second picture is Timmy trying to walk while eating a puff.

12:44 p.m.: If Timmy's second naps were any indication of how the pacifier weaning was going, I'd say we were at our goal. He got to sleep with a minimum of fuss this afternoon. Unfortunately, he didn't cry much yesterday afternoon either and it didn't help at bedtime.
12:48 p.m.: Never mind. I went to check on him and he wasn't sleeping- just quietly playing on his hands and knees in the crib.
